Mary E. Blundell, nee Sweetman 1859-1930, was an Irish born English writer and novelist. Born in Dublin, she spent some time at school in Belgium, and in 1879 she married Francis Blundell and they settled near Liverpool. There she began writing, publishing her works mainly under the pseudonym M. E. Francis.This is one of her pastoral novels, a tale of rural life set in Dorset in the Edwardian period with many of the local characters speaking in dialect. 320 Pages in total.
