Lowe E J , Our Native Ferns or a History Of The British Species And Their Varieties 2 Volumes

Lowe. E.J.: Our Native Ferns; or a History Of The British Species And Their Varieties. 2 Volumes. , London. Groombridge and Sons. 1865 & 7.

1st edns. Hardback. Volume 1; 348pp, 37 coloured plates and 317 wood engravings.Vol II; 492pp, 42 coloured plates and 592 wood engravings. Green publishers cloth, blindstamped and gilt decoration to front, blindstamped and gilt titles to spine, blindstamped decoration to lower board. Light bumps to extrems, uninscribed, clean, bright and tight. Would be VG+ BUT text blocks of both volumes are completely detached from cases. I'm sure a small amount of judicious restoration would restore these two wonderful volumes to VG++ condition. Heavy item, may incur extra postage. (Book ref. 3674)  £200.00
