Alphabet with engravings to each letter. 12 engraved headings to 'Lessons in Natural History'. 6 engraved headings to 'Select Fables'. Black blind-stamped leather boards. Small loss to head of spine. Light rubs/bumps to extrems. Front pastedown inscribed 'Edward Scutchings of Stone' with portrait of Thackeray pasted on. Front free endpaper has engraving of 'Residence of Christophe Oberkampf' pasted on. Otherwise VG+, clean, bright and tight. A very presentable copy of an early child's English language, spelling and grammar book. (Book ref. 3842)  £50.00
