Green buckram publisher's cloth, bevelled boards with ornate gilt decorations and titles to both boards and spine. Very light bumps to extrems. All edges gilt. Yellow endpapers (just starting to split at front). Foxing to prelims and scattered light foxing throughout. Inscription (dated 1864) to pre title page. A very beautiful, decorative item.
