Red cloth boards with black stamped decoration and gilt title frames to front and spine, black stamped decs to rear board. Contemporary dedication (1896) to front free endpaper. Unfortunately there is also a modern inscr "Big Bird" Own Personal Property, in silver ink! Also, sadly, the same person has highlighted, underlined and marked various words and passages on pps34,5,6,&7, otherwise text is clean and clear of any other markings. Boards have light bumps/rubs to extrems but otherwise clean and bright. Endpapers splitting at hinge. If it wasn't for the markings aforementioned, I would describe this as a VG- copy.
