PARKER Colin Coventry's Two Speedways: The Story of Lythalls Lane and Brandon Speedways from 1928 to 1939 , Loughborough: Au7tomedia, 2009.

Illustrated by Tom Farndon Photos. First Edition. Original Wraps. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Very nice copy of this history of the first 11 years of the Coventry Bees Speedway, first at Lythalls Lane in the north of the city , then to 'a little track in the country' at Brandon, its present home. There are 155 illustrations, 30 photos of the two speedway venues and 18 Tom Farndon photos. This may be a proof copy as it has been neatly annotated on half-title, and a few of the photos have additional information. Minimal wear and priced to rear cover. Excellent history with lots of historic photos. Foreword by Chris 'Bomber' Harris, World Champion. A very uncommon item, I can find almost no references to it (Book ref. 017543)  £25.00
