It contains, however, some features of special interest, notably in the numerous Book Plates of poets, authors, artists, doctors, lawyers and clerics, many of them being persons of eminence in their day. Every passing phase of the Book Plate during the last 240 years is well represented, and the Collection also contains certain specimens of Welsh provenance that are not included in the Catalogue of Sir Evan D.
