The first page is addressed: "To The Inhabitants Of The Parish of Thorpe next Norwich." Exalting them to stand and sing the Psalms! It is signed; "Thorpe Parsonage, Jan. 1815." So I assume the author must have been the incumbent vicar at this time; i.e. James Maxwell. Clean text throughout. VG. ** Thorpe St Andrew is about 2 miles east of Norwich, Norfolk. It is also known as Thorpe-next-Norwich and Thorpe Episcopi. *** "The parish CHURCH is a thatched Gothic fabric, with a nave, chancel, porch, and embattled tower.
