Diamond 96mo. 9.2cm x 3.0cm x 1cm (3.6" x 1.1" x 0.35"). pp.76 - 599 . A very good original full leather binding. Black leather in very good condition, over card covers. Smooth spine with gilt title: "Common Prayer" (a little rubbed). All page edges bright gilt. Original black endpapers. Clean title and text, printed on india paper. A very good copy. The silver case is hallmarked for London 1890, and has a pierced design of angels and rococo style foliate decoration. There are a couple of small losses to the decoration, but not detracting from the over all design. The case measures 9.3cm 3.2cm x 1.1cm [3.75" x 1.2" x 0.45"] . A scarce item. N.B.: The date of publication of this little prayer book is uncertain, but is assumed to be at the same time as the silver production.
