Mottled calf with gilt ruled border. Spine with 5 raised bands, gilt decorated compartments and original green leather title label. Hinges and top & tail of spine rubbed and carefully strengthened. All page edges bright gilt. Inner gilt dentelles. Marbled endpapers. This edition has a prefatory memoir by George Saintsbury and has 114 color illustrations by V. A. Poirson.
