Spine with 5 raised bands, simple gilt decoration and gilt titles. Bound by F. T. Groom, Bury St. Edmunds (small lilac coloured label to recto of the rear board). A very good tight binding, with just a little light rubbing to the edges. Brown endpapers, light foxing to free-endpapers, otherwise clean text and illustrations throughout. A very good book. 11" x 8.75" x 1.5", [4pp.]/pp.411, illustrated throughout with black & white images, plus 2 full page plates (both of Bury St. Edmunds). N.B.
