This document is a detailed and fully referenced Zionist protest at the errors and misunderstandings in the Shaw Report. Many of these have been exposed in subsequent research. However, it was ignored by London, and Hope Simpson went ahead with his badly resourced and ill-advised survey, thereby causing more dissension. In 1920 Chaim Weizmann appointed Leonard Stein political secretary and legal adviser of the Zionist Organization, a position which he held from 1920 until 1929, and as a lawyer, was well qualified to compose this critique.
