CLOCK-BOOK - 19th century .: Late 19th Century Clock Book . , Clock Maker: Davall

A scarce clock book which keeps good time! A very good late 19th century clock movement inserted in to a 2 volume set of Histoire De D'Eglise (Originally published about 1870?). Full brown leather binding. Front board with gilt numerals making up a clock face and original brass clock hands. Also gilt initials to lower left corner: 'D. H.' The leather is cracked and the gilt decoration is rubbed. The rear board is just plain brown leather (with an irregular stain to on quarter). The spines both have original leather title labels and gilt volume numbers, with rubbed gilt decoration. The clock movement is by Davall, England, and dates between 1890-1910.
