A very good 3 volume set. Folio. 12" x 9.5" . Blue buckram over bevelled boards, with bright gilt UGLE crest to each front board and gilt titles to each spine. Edges a little rubbed. Top page edges of each volume in gilt, the other edges are deckled (or rough-cut ). Clean throughout with no marks, stamps or writings. Vol. I : pp.9/pp.341 + 15 coloured and 24 black & white leaves of plates; Vol. II. pp.9/pp.199 + 53 leaves of plates; Vol. III. pp.8/pp.227 + 3 coloured and 39 black & white leaves of plates . This is a heavy set, so there will be an extra charge for posting outside of the UK. ** Major Sir Algernon Tudor-Craig KBE FSA (3 January 1873- 10 April 1943) was a British Army officer, heraldist and author of various works on art history, especially armorial porcelain. His first wife, whom he married in 1898, was Emily Mary Lukin (1866-1939). Lady Tudor-Craig was made CBE in 1920; they had one son James Tudor-Craig whose wife was artist Pamela Tudor-Craig (nee Wynn Reeves). In 1940 he remarried Grace Jennings. (Book ref. 38634)  £225.00
