Volume I, Social Life, 559pp. Volume II, Mental Life 660pp. Illustrated with black and white plates; maps. Both volumes are slightly rubbed to edges. Volume I also is rubbed across spine where the black label behind the gilt titles is thin and shows green cloth through it. Card slipcase is much rubbed to surface and has split entirely down 2 edges. Generally clean and bright. Hard Cover. Very good set in poor slipcase.
