The f.f.e.p. has a small rubber-stamp impression "440", and the front board has the name "Stanley T. Mercer" in gilt at the foot, where the Author's or Publisher's name might be placed. Very minor rubs to head & tail of spine, otherwise fine, in the original blind-ruled/gilt decorated, green cloth-covered boards/gilt titles, of an uncommon title from the early years of automobile history.
