Decorated Cloth. Very Good/No d/w. Sm 8vo. Hardback, 125mm x 185mm tall (5" x 7.25" approx.). 170pp with 24 engraved illustrations, plus 6pp Publisher's advertisements. Title-leaf not unattractively toned, with a light offset of the front free endpaper 's neat inscription: "Prize, Awarded to Willie Ward for 'Writing'. Grant St. Public School, 25th June 1897". Otherwise, bright and almost fine, in the colour-printed decorated blue cloth-covered boards/red title/black spine title. Suprisingly uncommon, given that this Victorian classic was ultimately produced in very large numbers. (Book ref. 003459)  £25.00
