Hardback, 130mm x 195mm tall (5.25" x 7.75" approx.). 162pp, with a b/w engraved portait frontispiece plate, plus 28pp Publisher's 'Catalogue of Popular Illustrated Books'. Very good, in the original silver & black-printed, decorated light-green cloth-covered boards, with silver titles and portrait of Wellington to front board and, to the front free endpaper, a prize label from St. Luke's Sunday School, Cheetham to one E. Brogdale 'for Regularity of Attendance and Good Conduct' in January 1903. The only downside to this uncommon volume is that the endpapers are spotted and the Publisher's list, being printed on poorer quality paper than the book itself, is somewhat browned.
