Hardback, 110mm x 180mm tall (4.5" x 7.25" approx.). 22pp with 3 illustrations in b/w & line, 20 superb colour-litho plates and endpapers [which include the title-page] similarly illustrated. Undated, but considered by the British Library to have been published in 1953. This excellent and uncommon little book, published as part of the Publishers 'Did You Know?' series, although predating the space-age is remarkably prescient in such matters as geostationary space-stations etc. Rubs to head & tail of spine, otherwise very good, in the original colour-printed lilac paper-covered boards/white spine title (Book ref. 003580)  £30.00
