Good/N/A. Hardback, 110mm x 172mm tall (4.25" x 6.25" approx.). Pp xxvi, 111. Contemporary owner's neat signature to the upper blank margin of the title-page, together with the small circular stamp-impression of Duke's School, Alnwick. Intermittent foxing, more so to prelims and spine cloth faded, otherwise good, in the original blind-decorated, cloth-covered boards. This may well be the 1st Edition quoting the Author's name in full. ('Copac' mentions printings of 1856 et al being attributed only to 'J.G.'). Most uncommon. (Book ref. 003630)  £25.00
