2nd [enlarged & best] Edition. Gilt decorated Cloth. Very Good. Hardback, 145mm x 232mm tall (5.75" x 9" approx.). Pp xvi, 540, plus a double-folding frontispiece plate, a map leaf and 30 further engraved illustrations in the text; 2 multi-folding Tables, and a partially unopened 24pp "General List of Works" published by Longman & Co., dated June 1864. Endpaper joints tender and the upper two inches or so of the top of the front board/spine joint neatly repaired. Otherwise very good, in the original Edmonds & Remnants gilt-and-blind decorated, terracotta cloth-covered boards/gilt titles. (Book ref. 003698)  £450.00
