First Edition. Fine/Good. 090351219x Signed by Author Hardback 4to. 190mm x 256mm tall (7.5" x 10.25" approx.). Pp xxiv, 251 + a tipped-in frontispiece and 25 other colour-plates, and with 75 other illustrations in b/w & line. Fine, in the original gilt-panelled turquoise cloth-covered boards/gilt titles/green book-marker ribbon, and with the edge-rubbed but otherwise good and unclipped, pictorial dust-wrapper. Stamped to half-title leaf "First Edition Book Number 361", and signed by the Author. NOTE this is quite a different work from the recently reprinted "Mercer Chronometers".
