Pp xi + errata leaf + 809 + 7 double-folding battle plans [Trafalgar, Aix Roads, the Bombardments of Acre, Rhodes, Sebastopol, Bomarsund & Sveaborg, and the attack on the Peilo Forts ]. Title-page printed in red & black. Light rubs to edges and corners, and with some fairly minor occasional spotting, otherwise very good, in the original blind-decorated, blue cloth-covered boards/gilt spine title. This is the second volume only of the uncommon First Edition, which was published in two volumes, with the less impressive-looking Second Edition being in three small 8vo volumes.
