IRVING, H.B.: TYPED LETTER SIGNED. , 1910.
1pp letter on Queen's Theatre Shaftesbury Avenue W. letterhead dated July 1, 1910: "Dear Mr. Macalister, I cannot thank you sufficiently for your very great kindness in sending me the telegram which Mark Twain sent to you at the time of my father's death. It will always be a treasured possession to me and I shall always remember the kind thought that prompted you to send it to me. You ask me not to trouble to acknowledge your letter. I can only apologise for not acknowledging it sooner, and plead the anxieties of business. Once again, my warmest thanks, and believe me to be, with all good wishes. Yours very sincerely." (Book ref. 11159) £45.00
