Printed In Four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver, 8vo. The Second Edition. Pp.[4], [20], Pp.148, 164, 155, 199, [28] adverts for books printed by Bernard Lintot. A very good copy of the stated second edition of Gulliver's Travels,the first to contain the Verses which had been separately printed in March 1727, here printed in 20 pages and inserted after the first volume title. Bound in a single volume in contemporary tan calf with blind decoration and panels. The volume has been expertly rebacked early in contemporary style with red leather label and gilt lettering and double gilt rules. Present is the frontispiece portrait of Gulliver (second state), 4 maps and 2 plans.The text is bright and clean. A very attractive copy. Scans available. (Book ref. 15924)  £2600.00
