There are 40 political maps, 9 historical maps, 3 classical maps, 4 physical maps, 4 scriptural maps and the 6 astronomical plates. There is an index or an explanation for each set of maps. The maps are on each side of the pages. Recently professionally rebound in light brown cloth with gilt titles, making it a very attractive item. Internally the maps are very good.
