"The aim of the Pageant of London is to show the gradual growth and development of the English nation, as seen in the history of this, Empire City, and to set forth some of the most striking scenes in the life of its inhabitants from the time of the stronghold with its pile dwellings on the banks of the Fleet River down to modern days." All the scenes are described in detail. Bound in original white covered cloth with black titles. A small stain on the front cover and some wear at the extremes of the spine; internally very good.
