First edition. Pp. 123. Bound in original purple cloth with gilt titles, recently professionally recase with new endpapers. Lady Cornelia Wimborne's preface is of 14 pages. Lady Wimborne comments on the Romanizing of the parishes which is being carried out "systematically and perseveringly" mainly in the villages. The Diocese listed with the villages mentioned and reported with their number of communicants are York, Lichfield, Gloucester, St. Albans, Chichester, Oxford, Truro, Ely, Norwich, Southwell, Salisbury and Exeter.
