In contemporary half calf with raised bands. The binding is perfectly sound but is well worn and rubbed. The title is soiled and there is some occasional internal soiling and foxing. There is evidence of the dreaded bookworm on the lower margins of the last 125 leaves. The map of British North America is split along the centre fold and the two sections are worn along this axis.
