1st. Edn. 2vols. in 1. Complete set. Large folio. (42cm. tall x 34cm.). pp. x, xi, 59. & iv, 53. plus 6pp. appendix and The Rules of the Club. All edges gilt. With 70 plates from etchings. Included is a list of the 180 subscribers. In contemporary half red morocco over pebble grained red cloth. The 6 panelled spine bears the gilt ruled title. The other panels show an elaborate heraldic motif in gilt within ruled borders. Marbled endpapers. The front board is gilt titled. The corners are slightly bumped and worn, as are the head and tail of the spine. There is a small stain to the front board. The first five leaves and the last two blanks show light overall foxing. This apart the contents are clean and very good. In all a very good and sound copy of this handsome tome. (Book ref. 5815)  £1175.00
