In full contemporary calf. Four gilt scrolled raised bands and gilt titling to the spine. Elaborately tooled gilt border with a blind stamped inner decoration to the boards. Gilt doublures. Marbled endpapers with the armorial plate of R. J. Lambton, Morton House to the front pastedown. The bookseller's ticket of J. Arnould, 2 Spring Gardens is to the top corner. The two plates are heavily foxed and this has affected the adjoining leaves. Some light rubbing to the edges. In all, however, a sound and handsome copy. (Book ref. 6194)  £42.50
