There are numerous illustartions in black & white from photographs nd architect's drawings. A series of personal accounts of the perils and pleasures of architectural restoration. Professor David Walker provides a review of The Adaptation and Restoration of Tower Houses. This is more than a vade-mecum to would be restorers. If not of Biblical Stature it is certainly a praiseworthy sermon. Robert Clow, with his experience of Aiket Castle, is an examplary editor.
