Decorative Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall Book 6 Volume set. Special Illustrated Edition which includes Gladstone's 1880 General Election campaign. Indated, late 19th Century. Red Cloth covers with gilt lettering and decoration to fronts and spines. Top of page edges, gilt. Each volume commences with several full, page portraits, most still protected by their Tissue Guards. Pages have only a little foxing and a few smudgy marks to margins. Some wear to covers (mostly at corners). Spine of vol 2 is faded and 2 books have closed tears along spine edge (one 2" long, one 5" long). Still a handsome set of a great Prime Minister's Life.
