Set includes the Life of George Eliot in 3 Volumes and Romola, 2 Vols; Silas Marner, Lifted Veil, Brother Jacob, 1 Vol; Adam Bede, 2 Vols; Scenes of Clerical Life, 2 Vols; The Mill on the Floss, 2 Vols; Felix Holt, 2 Vols; Middlemarch, Vols II and III only (Vol I missing); Daniel Deronda, 3 Vols;The Spanish Gypsy, 1 Vol; Jubal, and other Poems Old and New, 1 Vol; Impressions of Theophrastus Such, 1 Vol; All in the Dark Green cloth covers with black floral designs to fronts, rears and spines. Gilt lettering to spines. "Works of George Eliot in black on fronts". 7 1/8" Tall. The only 2 missing are "Essays and leaves from a notebook" and Vol 1 of "Middlemarch". Undated edition but there are old inscriptions dated 1881 on endpapers. Some wear to covers, in varying degrees (see photos). About half of the hinges are cracked, or half cracked.
