Cloth. Good+. Vols 1 - 7 and 10 & 11 are all from the Fourteen Volume Edition, dated 1832. Vols 15 & 17 are in the same binding, dated 1833. Dark Green silk bindings with gilt titles under Coronets on spine. Each Vol has an illustrated Title Page & Full Page Frontis Illustration, followed by a printed title page, protected by tissue guard. Vol I, Life of Lord Byron to the Period of his Return from the Continent in 1811. Title Illus, view of Cadiz and Frontis, a Full length Portrait of Byron, aged 19. Both Engraved by Findley.; Vol II, Life of Byron continues, to 1814. Frontis Illustration, Trepaleen and title page, Constantinople. Vol III, Life continues to April 1817. Vol IV continues the Life to 1820, Vol V to 1822. Vol VI completes the Life to Byron's death in 1824, and continues with Miscellaneous Pieces in Prose. Vol VII has "Hours of Idleness, a series of Poems" and Occasional Pieces 1808 - 1810. (Vol 8 Missing). Vol IX, Occasional Pieces in Verse 1811 - 1813. Instead of the engraved plates it has a facsimilie of Byron's Writing from Childe Harolde. Vol X, detached Poetical pieces between "The Corsair", Jan 1814 and July 1816. Vols 11, 12, 13 & 14 are missing. Vol XV contains 3 Cantos on Don Juan; (Vol 16 is missing) Vol XVII contains the last 6 Cantos on Don Juan, and concludes the set. 7" Tall. (Previous owner's inscription, dated 1857 on front endpapers). Some wear to covers, with a little patchy fading (see photos). A little occasional foxing, most pages in nice, clear condition. Vol IX has a few creased pages, another Vol has a little insect damage to front pages. Some vols have very small edge dents from having been in a bundle tied with string. One vols has a small closed tear to the cloth down spine edge. Vol 1 has the spine title almost rubbed away. Books Weigh nearly 4 Kilos so postage outside UK will be extra.
