Published for the Author by Bradbury & Evans. 1846 (MDCCCXLVI) stated on Title Page. First one Volume Edition of Dicken's classic tale of the Boy from the Poorhouse and Fagin the Jewish Fence. Complete with all 24 Illustrated Plates by George Cruikshank. Contemporary Brown Half Leather Binding. 8 3/4" Tall. 1 Plate loose. A little light foxing and a few smudgy marks to a few pages. Plates have some browning. Some wear to cover, mostly around leather corners and spine. 3 of the Raised Bands on the spine are damaged and the top one is missing along with the top 2 compartments of leather (see photo).
