Book commences with the Introduction, followed by 3 detailed "Contents" Pages. First text page has an In-Text Illustration of a dog's head. The section on DOGS includes Setters, Pointers,Springer & Retriever. GAME includes Grouse, Ptarmigan, Partridge, Bustard, Quail, Pheasant, Woodcock, Snipe and Hare. Next is detailed section on diseases of the Dog, followed by Training the Dog for the Gun, Scent, next a section of guns, Fowling piece, Percussion Gun, Gunpowders, then a section on shooting all the various types of Game, from Pheasant to pochard and Wild Fowl Shooting. Finally, Game Laws and Addenda including a receipt for making boots & shoes water resistant. Professionally rebound in handsome Antique Style Quarter Leather with 4 Raised Bands to spine, having Gilt Tile on brown leather ground in one compartment and blind tooled decoration in the other compartments. Marbled paper covered boards. Replaced endpapers. Pages and plates in very nice condition, only an occasional spot of foxing and a little age darkening.
