Harry Wragg as a jockey rode 1,762 winners. This included thirteen Classic races of which three were Epsom Derby winners. On the racecourse he was often referred to the "Head Waiter" due to his very late challenges to the winning post. He rode his first winner in 1919 and retired in 1946 to became a racehorse trainer at Newmarket for the next thirty-five years.
