First Thus. Quarter Cloth with Paper Board. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall Inscribed By Editor Inscribed by Furnivall on end paper. Not at all pretty on the outside but still solidly held together and internally in good shape. End Papers heavily foxed but not affecting the better quality paper of the text block at all. The boards are badly worn and bashed about as is the spine which has 2" loss at top and a flap at base. Internally no flaws and with many pages uncut so an unread copy of an uncommon text. The intro. notes a couple of previous editions but says they are badly edited and with much of the text missing.
