First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. A very nice clean and tight copy in the very scarce dust jacket. Book has slightly dusty end papers but the black boards, with sillouette illustration to front, only have very minor wear to corners and spine ends but are otherwise bright and clean. The heavy card pages are in nice condition. The jacket is rubbed with wear around edges and some chips to front and rear with some creasing and tears as well. 1" tear to front flap. Overall an extrodinary survival of a very early dust jacket on a children's book.
