First English Edition (First Impression). Cloth. Very Good. 3 volumes 1844, '45 &'45 as issued. Boards are clean with some wear and slight loss to cloth at spine ends. Corners bumped with some wear to cloth at tips. Wear to hinges with a couple of small tears and slightly longer at top of rear hinge on vol 2. Internally some hinges cracked but all still holding well if slightly shaken. Armorial bookplate and library plate on all front end papers. A decent copy.
