First Edition. Cloth. Very Good. Inscribed By Author Inscribed on title page "To Arthur Locker from Charles Knight Jan 19th 1866". Original cloth is bumped at spine ends and corners. Minor chips at base of spine but loss to cloth at top above the level of the text block and a 1/2" tear to rear hinge. Book is cocked. Internally hinges slightly cracked but still solid, armorial bookplate on fixed end paper and later owners name on free end paper. No half title or adverts at rear but no sign of them ever having been present so seemingly as originally published.
