Summers, Montague, A Popular History of Witchcraft

Summers, Montague A Popular History of Witchcraft , London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., 1937.

First Edition. Cloth. Poor/Very good-. Plates all present but frontis detached. Book has suffered from damp at some point and the boards have come away cleanly from the end papers but it could all be put together again if it was worth it. Spine showing damp and some staining to first 20 leaves (pages look dirty rather than the sort of damp you normally see if that makes any sense?) Ask for images if you want more detail on the book. The uncommon jacket, that is really the selling point on this book, has survived reasonably well. Chip from top of spine affecting title and a smaller one at top rear corner, Some tears and general wear to edges. It would look ok on a better book. Postage will be confirmed when you enquire or order and for light or very heavy books will vary from the ABE quote which is based on a 1kg parcel. (Book ref. 002774)  £35.00
