GALLIX, Francois. T.H. White - An Annotated Bibliography. , New York: Garland, 1986.First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/No DJ. 8vo Green cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling on spine.. (lxvi), 148 pp clean and tight. Scarce a short print run. All entries in this bibliography are arranged chronologically according to the dates of publication. The biographical table, placed at the beginning, aims at giving the reader a sense of White's progress in the composition of his works. The dates of publication can be somewhat misleading since white often began to work on a book, then abandoned the project for years, only to take it up again much later. Thus a first version of The Goshawk (1951) was started as early as 1936 and the outlines of. The Master (1957) can be found in White's journal entries for 1941-1942. The first part, devoted to writings by White, is divided into chapters listing books, short stories, poems, articles, published letters, an introduction (a single entry since the only introduction White ever wrote was for The British at Home, a book of drawings by Pont, published in 1939), unpublished works (complete and incomplete manuscripts), and radio and television programs featuring White. (Book ref. 125084) £59.95 The payment methods accepted by the seller, Charles Bossom , are shown in the right-hand column. |
