"Dear Roger McGough, I have just finished reading your book about me and must admit that I enjoyed it. There are, however, one or two criticisms I would like to make. Firstly, I think you might have looked at my pop career in greater detail (i.e. Albert Hall and N.M.E. concerts, the Scandinavian tour, San Remo Festival, etc). econdly, I had a much better time in London than you make out (by the way, thanks for not mentioning the paternity suits). Thirdly, I think you should have played down the Liverpool domestic bit (most of it's a pack of lies anyway. Lynda was much nicer than you make out, it was just that I couldn't settle down) . Anyway, I like the way you've written it, and all things being considered, I think it's bloody funny. I hope everybody buys it and you make loads of bread and then you can come up here and give me some. All the best, Frinck."
