Volume 1 with tinted frontispiece, folding map, and 2 coloured plates (as called for); Volume 2 with coloured frontispiece, 2 plans (1 folding), and 3 tinted plates (as called for). 8vo, pp. xiv;(1, errata):388:24(Longman's catalogue) & iv:426, original blue cloth. Bindings extremely faded, rubbed and chipped, lacking portions of backstrips. Recased at some stage, with replaced endpapers. The folding map with one blank margin partly shaved not affecting the map itself. The frontispiece to vol. 1 with corner marginal damp marking. The tinted plates to volume 2 are damp-marked as are the blank margins of 12 leaves of text. Stitching of both volumes weak with several gatherings detached with occasional very minor wear to fore-margins. Some marginal light age toning.
