The letter addressed to P. H. Burfitt of Mere, Wiltshire, thanking him for his contribution to the wedding present from the Duchy [of Cornwall] - "We really are delighted with the mahogany library table which will look splendid in our home at Highgrove and is exactly the right period for the house. We were also most touched to receive the balance of the gift in the form of a cheque with which we shall probably buy some more furniture. As you can well imagine, with two houses to equip from scratch we have quite a difficult task ahead of us!" and continues by stating how much affection they have for the Duchy and that they are looking forward to visiting together. 1-page folio, embossed Buckingham Palace paper. Usual fold marks; contained in the original envelope. Together with a piece of their wedding cake contained within the original cream presentation box, this blocked in silver with the Prince of Wales's feathers, an intertwined C&D, and Buckingham Palace 29th July 1981.
