Which enable us to see some of the prevailing attitudes to childhood and to gain an insight into how the children themselves perceived their world. Giving us a wealth of detail, ranging from dress to servants, and showing how they lived their lives, in the schoolroom, boisterous indoor games or an informal dance in the drawing room.
