The story of how in the 1970s Ken Small, a hotelier, found unexpended bullets, US dollars and the personal possessions of US servicemen while beachcombing on Slapton Sands in Devon. His obsession to honour the memory of the 946 American soldiers who died needlessly during Exercise Tiger, rehearsals for the D-Day landings off the Devon coast. A series of blunders allowed German E-boats to intercept the convoy of landing ships.
