The book is in very good condition, only faults - front free endpaper is lightly marked where library label has been removed, on the same page is the ISBN library code label, no other library markings. Title-page has light blue marks around the edges (looks as if the marks have come from the frontispiece which has a deep blue background). The rest of the book is in fine condition. Dustjacket in very good condition, slightly rubbed at spine ends. 128pp, including Bibliography, and Index. With frontispiece, 2 double-page, 24 full-page and numerous illustrations in the text, all superb colour photographs, plus many black-and-white diagrams. The book is a guide covering everything from creating a good base to adding the finishing touches to the art of narrow boat painting. By practical instruction the author demonstrates, with the colour illustrations and diagrams how to paint roses, daisies, leaves, filler strokes, castle scenes, and many more patterns which adorned the working boats of the past.
